Kapuso star Dingdong Dantes is one of the most sought-after leading man of our generation. Successful and happy in his career and lovelife, Dingdong is one of those people who seemed to "have-it-all" but he never fails to still surprise his dearest followers and supporters!
Dingdong stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 entry "ONE MORE TRY" from Star Cinema! In a heavy dramatic modern family drama, he is set to make this Christmas season more heart-warming with the ensemble of his equally amazing co-stars, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo and Angel Locsin.
Dingdong said that he was in full gratitude to Star Cinema for having him in the said film. He was very thankful for the rare opportunity to cross the bridge from his mother network GMA to ABS-CBN's film arm Star Cinema for a special movie in the much anticipated MMFF. He said that he never expected it to happen but has proven that it is possible to work with the Kapamilya network too in a big project like this. He said he was sincerely hoping that it will soon be openly possible not only to him but to other stars too. He was asked on what is his secret in being the most in-demand star, quoted to be a "King" of GMA, yet he was able to also expose himself to the Kapamilya network, he answered, "Siguro yun nga, I manage to maintain good working relationships.."
He was one of the most professional on-screen partner and a true gentleman as proven by both Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban on their previous interviews. Dingdong admitted that the two lead actresses on One More Try did an equally amazing job in different executions based on their characters.
Zanjoe on the other hand has been Dingdong's counterpart. They were part of the Kimmy Dora movies! Direk Ruel Bayani said that Dingdong and Zanjoe are exact opposites. Direk compared Dingdong to an Aga Mulach type and Zanjoe as a Richard Gomez type. Equally handsome, appealing and loved in different ways.
In the story, Dingdong will play as Edward, a dedicated husband to Jacq (Angelica Panganiban), whose character will be tested when his old friend Grace (Angel Locsin) re-enters his life with their sick son who is in desperate need of his help in order to sustain life. Watch the full trailer here:
Dingdong Dantes may seemed to have it all but I believe this man has yet to reach beyond the limits. He will go farther and strive harder, with his talents, good looks, pleasing character and a full-packed personality he is really a King on his own rights. Looking forward to the future, Dingdong wanted to do a Bio-pic and when asked about who would he want to portray? He answered,"Madami eh.. Siguro po si Ninoy Aquino."
