LG G2 is now here in the Philippines! #LGG2DayPH

As I have said before, I am not a tech blogger but I wanted to be one. So when I got an invite for the official launch of LG's newest flagship phone the LG G2, I immediately said yes! I have heard about the phone, actually I am planning to buy a new phone this Christmas as a well-deserved gift for myself! So I came across several reviews about the phone since it was launched in the US as I have seen "un-boxing" or "first impression" videos... even phone review videos were already up.. but much has been said about G2, I wanted to still have my first look on the phone as it will be launched as well here in the Philippines.

The launch was held at the grand ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino last Sept. 25, 2012! The event was jam-packed with all the media, retailers, spectators, valued guests and LG's heads were present as the latest smartphone innovation unravels!

Also present at the event are LG's brand ambassadors, Kiefer Ravena, Maxene Magalona and Paulo Avelino, all looking fabulous and dashing that night, proudly showing-off their G2s! (that made me feel a little bit.. okay fine.. not a little but.. it made me feel inggit BIG TIME! hahaha)

We all had the chance to get our hands on the G2 in the dedicated Experience Zone that displays G2s in both black and white...

LG had prepared a program and demo of the phone in the event that made it clear why it is hailed as "the best smartphone in the world" by stuff.tv! Surely there is no doubt that LG is stepping up the game in the telecommunications industry by the release of the g2! And we all know how Pinoys are totally hooked in smartphones! I admit that I instantly fell in love with G2 since I held it in my hands! Too much awesomeness packed in this gadget!

I will give you some quick hints on why LG G2 should be part of your "to-have" list!
-The REAR BUTTON
Let is take a look at the main noticeable difference that LG G2 made on it's design, the rear button. YES! LG placed the buttons that were usually found in front or on the sides at the back of the phone! Control the volume, power on/off, pull up quick memo and take pictures, all of those functions are within the easy reach of your index finger..! Wow! LG has observed how we hold our phones and discovered a convenient innovation that will let g2 rise above it's main competitors!

-The 5.2" FULL HD IPS DISPLAY
The screen of LG G2 was by far, really impressive! 5.2" was packed in this beautiful monster device! We can maximize the phone's functions better with the "just right" size of the screen.The screen was maximized because of the phone's slim bezel! Not too large, but not small either!

-The SNAPDRAGON
LG G2's breakthrough processor of 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 was a true plus! It made the phone snappy and fast! Lagging will never be a problem now! Kudos on that!

-The KNOCK ON
Since the G2 has no buttons in front of the screen, LG has their way of making it easier for users to put the phone to sleep mode.. it's just by tapping the screen twice.. same goes if you want to turn it back on. I find it as a very useful feature that will let users conserve power by putting their phone into sleep mode in two taps!

-The GUEST MODE
I know you hate it when something private on your phone are checked and seen by others! Privacy has been given importance by LG in creating a guest mode feature on the G2! Now, you can lend your phone to friends, and have no worries of your privacy being taken for granted! For me, the Guest Mode also helps in being secured on your personal information stored in your handset and this is truly on of the many features I love about G2!

-The AUDIO ZOOM
This feature made me really happy! In recording videos, especially in an open area with too many background noises, you can select what you wanna hear by zooming to your target audio and maximizing the audio capture on your target. This is really a very helpful feature especially to me as a blogger who commonly cover events! Now, audio capture can never be the same with G2!

-The PLUG AND POP
Music junkies will understand how we want convenience and easy access to menus that will let us enjoy music through our phones, LG learned that. So G2 has a plug and pop feature, as soon as you plug your headphone, a quick menu will show up at the bottom of the page for quick access in your phone's music player, video player, etc!

-The HI-FI SOUND
LG promised crispiness in our sound experience with LG G2, as they bragged the Hi-Fi sound that gives authentic ear pleasure way more than regular cd audio we are used to. This technology has been mastered by LG, because they learned from you!

-The POWER
Yes, the battery life is indeed an important thing for phones. Even if you have the most feature-packed gadget but it's empty batt, it's useless right? So LG had made sure that G2 will give a good fight on battery life packing it with 3000mAh SiO+ battery that can give more juices of power than the regular Li-Ion battery that most smartphones used to have! Yey!

-The OIS CAMERA
Well, LG G2 is equipped with top of the line camera! I said so, because it has a 13 megapixel camera with OIS (optical image stabilizer) that makes capturing of photos not much of a hassle! And a great video capturing device we have with G2 as it captures 1080p FULL HD video with 60fps! Wow! And you know what is most captivating? It's the SHOT AND CLEAR camera feature! Have you ever experienced being photobombed? Well, shot and clear will let you remove those photobombers away from the frame! Yes... this feature made everyone clap on the demo at the launch event! For that, LG G2 made me wanna brush off my DSLR! Hahaha! Smart and creative indeed, LG!

These are a few of the many reasons why you got to have LG G2 and with a very reasonable SRP of P29,900 in the market, who can say no to this little beauty, huh? I actually wanted the device so bad that I even joined their twitter contest to win it! Seriously. But then luck was not on my side, but I wanted to congratulate everyone who won and owned the LG G2! I just wish that this is not the closest I can get with the LG G2! Santa? Where are you? You know I have been real good all year, this may be the reason why.. Hahaha!

It was a really great experience to be a part of an official launch of one of the highly-acclaimed phone brands! LG G2 is really a powerful and beautiful gadget! LG made sure to made me believe how they learned from the people, and as of now, I will say that LG G2 has a strong fight in being the world's best smartphone, but I think I should have a chance of experiencing G2 first before I can provide a stable verdict. Definitely this is LG's best so far! Congratulations to LG Philippines!

Maria Mercedes in Primetime Bida starting this October 7!

Jessy Mendiola is the Pinay Maria Mercedes! She will make us all fall in love starting this October 7 in ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. This is in line of the network's celebration of 60years in television. Jessy stars with Jake Cuenca, Jason Abalos, Nikki Gil and a lot more! I am pretty sure how the Mexican version of Maria Mercedes by the one and only Thalia was loved by Filipinos. It was an extreme hit! Now as Jessy gives her own version of Thalia, we will surely see her bloom!

Jessy's character will be facing different love angles with gorgeous men like Jake Cuenca and Jason Abalos. Jake said that this is Jessy's break and he is behind her to give support all the way. Jake said that Jessy has smitten him in a way that whenever he's around her, his confidence level goes down. He is intimidated by her beauty and personality. Jason and Jessy on the other hand has been real good friends that's why they said that it's easy to work with each other.

Adding to the spice of the show is the villain Mystica played by Nikki Gil. She promised that her character has a different attack than the usual kontabidas we have already seen. Nikki said that her character has depth in portrayal and has reasonable root cause of evil. Surely I'm excited to see her back on TV drama!

It was promised by the creative team that this modern Maria Mercedes, will make us laugh, cry and fall in love! Jessy wants to embody Maria Mercedes in each Filipina, strong-willed and determined but at the same time loving and tender. Jessy has truly owned up to her character! It is exciting how the show will fire-up our weeknights teleserye habits!

Laugh hard and be highly amazed with Kung Fu Divas!

An unexpected tandem of our Comedy Concert Queen and Kapuso's Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is set to give us a pure surprise of laughter and great visuals in Reality Entertainment and Star Cinema's Kung Fu Divas hit theaters tomorrow, October 2! Directed by a fresh mainstream director Onat Diaz who had claimed that he had the idea of the film's story in mind and had developed it through time, which was assured to have a very interesting plot.

The production and creative team behind Kung Fu Divas bragged on how extensive this film was made in high technology CGI that will surely amaze movie goers. Adding to the laughter and entertainment provided by the film, Direk Onat was said to be very meticulous when it comes to the visual effects that the movie will offer. The story as well have a crossover from the beauty pageant industry to Kung Fu. To let you know more about the film here is the trailer:

The Kung Fu Divas cast and crew is highly excited for the film's release as they are very proud on how the movie was a product of all their hard work. As the visual effects and CGI goes, seems like Kung Fu Divas offers the BEST so far, in the movie industry and that alone can assure your money's worth! :)

Edward Mendez, the main man of the film is said to have exerted extreme effort for his character. He plays a character that mostly is topless in the entire film. An eye candy to us ladies and bekis, right? He said that as he auditioned for the role, Direk Onat immediately asked him to take his shirt off as it is highly required by his role. But more to add sizzle to the film, Direk Onat assured that Edward plays a very important role.

Ms. AiAi Delas Alas has got nothing to prove as she had films that reigned the box-office! Ms. Ai assured that Kung Fu Divas is action-packed! But we all know Ms. Ai's forte is comedy, and surely with an acting showdown with Ms. Marian Rivera, we will get the laugh we needed from the film! "Comedy is drama and drama is comedy.." as I quote Ms. Ai who have said that the downs she has been through have helped her become an effective comedienne. Ms. Ai has all praises to her co-star Ms.Marian as she treats her as a baby sister! Their tandem's chemistry is really evident! Ms. Ai said that they had a hard time filming too, "Mahirap.. Umaarte ka na green lang ang nakikita mo.."

Ms. Marian Rivera said that this is the first epic action-comedy film! Kung Fu Divas has been an adventure for Marian. It was really fresh to see Marian to work with someone from another network and be on different grounds. It was said as well that both Marian and Ai co-produced the film, "Bakit? Kasi malaki ang tiwala ko dun sa pelikula... Isa sa pagmamalaki kong pelikulang nagawa ko talaga". Marian said that she had no awkward or dull moments with Ai, she said that with her endearing and lovable personality there is no doubt how Ms. Ai has reached her fame. "Hindi madali para sa amin to.. naka-harness po kami dito, talagang kinarir po namin ang mga action scenes dito" Marian said about how hard it was in filming the film.

One good thing to add up, the team brought Chinese stuntmen, the top of the line! Wow! It will truly be an amazing experience! Also part of the stellar casts are Mr. Roderick Paulate and Ms. Gloria Diaz! Direk Onat said that their main goal is "to come up with a high quality film na mae-enjoy ng lahat.. very entertaining at masasakyan ninyo.. Napa-Oo sila Ai at Marian hindi dahil sa effects o dahil bongga, kundi dahil sa ang ganda ng kwentong inilalahad sa pelikula.."

Please support and watch another breakthrough and a sure box-office movie starring AiAi Delas Alas and Marian Rivera is a laugh-out-loud adventure! They promised to change the definition of DIVA! Be proud that Pinoys can make awesome graphics for movies! I am looking forward to watch it! KUNG FU DIVAS showing tomorrow October 2!
