Janine Gutierrez, Kapuso's promising actress, is now ready to take on and dominate GMA's afternoon prime by reliving the character of Lynette Quintana! A household name in the mid-90's originally portrayed by Ms. Donna Cruz in the well-loved TV series Villa Quintana! The show has been really a breakthrough TV hit before and now, with a modern twist.. GMA is giving it back to this generation's audience!
Since the show started last November 4, it has been receiving good feedback from televiewers, all who loved the show before are still hooked with the new version of Villa Quintana. The anticipation of the show every after Eat Bulaga heightens everyday as it reveals more thrilling and exciting scenes...
Janine was extremely happy as she said, because she was praying to be given a lead role and she specifically prayed for a remake.. and voila! She became the new Lynette Quintana! Janine was very grateful for this big opportunity. She had undergone workshops under Ms. Gina Alajar, the same director leading the show along with her on-screen partner Elmo Magalona who plays Lynette's greatest love, Isagani Samonte. Along with her acting workshops her mom, Ms. Lotlot De Leon, as Janine revealed, is her greatest critic! She really prepared for the role to give justice to the original character. She is also all praises to Elmo as she said in him being supportive and caring as a partner, she can see how Elmo is wanting their team up to work. She said that she hopes as the viewers will give them a chance to showcase their on-screen chemistry together.
I have discovered how Janine is such a fine young lady. She was sweet and bubbly as my blogger friends and I had a chance to share a lunch table with her for the show's blog conference at Greens Vegetarian Cafe in QC! We shared good food and good laughs as Janine was so open into answering questions. Some of us were even pushing her to join Bb. Pilipinas, as we strongly believe that she is fit to be a beauty queen! She shared her love for travel and the beach!
Unfortunately, young Kapuso teen heartthrob Elmo Magalona was supposed to join us in the blog con but he wasn't able to make it because he got sick.. all well wishes to Elmo. And a big thanks to him as he sent some goodies from Oishi and F&H! :)
