Love OPM: Young, fresh and raw - KZ Tandingan and her music! ~ Ms. Mighty Mau

Yes, I am an OPM advocate as you may have noticed. I support OPM acts to boost our local music industry. But now, let me start this blog by saying that I AM A FAN OF KZ TANDINGAN!

Yes, I am.. I have been a fan since I was able to see her perform live for the very first time in Bryan Termulo's XXV concert. And seriously, it seems like she's casting a spell on everyone the moment she sings! And that's why I am happy and excited when her album came out. I immediately bought one for myself! And true enough, it was definitely worth my penny! Young, fresh and raw, KZ's musical style attacks in the very core of yourself. So far, it's OPM's soul at it's finest!

So, I personally anticipated her album launch concert, set last June 27, at Big Shift A.Venue, Makati! It got me so excited, because it will be the very first time for me to hear her own songs live with a band! I was with my fellow bloggers (we all love KZ, by the way) as we supported her album launch presscon, prior to the main concert.

Anyways, a presscon will not be complete without the Q&A portion. She was asked about the "coming out" of her mentor X Factor Charice, she said that it's not an issue to her, instead, she was proud of her because Charice showed how strong she was. KZ even said that Charice will forever be her "Madam". On the other hand, a new ground breaking singing show is airing now on ABS-CBN, The Voice of the Philippines, KZ was asked, if ever she's on that contest, who among the four coaches will she pick? KZ said, "Buti na nga lang po talaga hindi ako dun sumali." (laughs), but if she was given the chance to choose, she said that she will pick Bamboo. As the grand winner of one of the most prestigious singing competition of the world, KZ won a total prize worth of 4M! And, having a BIG HEART, KZ posted an Instagram photo before that she donated 1Million Php to her church in Digos City,"@kztandingan : giving to the church.. best thing i've done with my xfph prize.. Lord, salamat sa lahat!!" She said, "Kulang pa nga po yan sa lahat ng biyayang binigay ni Lord sakin." On what is her advice to others dreaming to become a singer, she said, "Dapat po, galing sa puso ang pagkanta. Mas nararamdaman ng tao pag-galing sa puso ang pagkanta ko." (very well said KZ!)

She even performed 3 songs for the press and media people to give a taste of her overflowing talent. As a fan, that alone, left me awestruck! Sobrang husay! Grabe! Ibang klase!

KZ has blown me away with those three songs! I am truly overjoyed to watch her perform live! She was one of those who were massively great on record, but is also extremely awesome on live shows! More so, I enjoyed a bit of chit-chat with her, I was touched when she hugged me tight while giving endless thank yous! She's really humble and kind-hearted. I admire her personality too. Positive and bubbly, a total performer on stage and a genuine person off stage! True enough, this young lady will reach heights, and I will always be on full support for her on her way to the top! :)
