Another Filipino-made indie-film will make waves in the international scene... Mariposa Sa Hawla ng Gabi, a film by one of the most brilliant filmmaker of our country, Direk Richard V. Somes has just been invited to grace the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy this coming April 19th to 27th of 2013. It was socially announced through twitter:
The film was first released as part of the 8th Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival. The film premiered last November 29, 2012 and I was personally present on the said event to witness the unveiling of this Filipino film masterpiece. I became a fan of this movie ever since. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind psycho-action thriller! I am beyond happy and proud that this movie will set sails on the film festival of popular Asian cinema!
Mariposa Sa Hawla Ng Gabi is top-billed by Ms. Erich Gonzales, one of the finest and most appreciated indie-film actress of this generation, noted by her roles as Erhyl in "Paano Ko Sasabihin" from Cinema One Originals 2009 and as Corazon in the highest-grossing digital film (maindie), "Corazon Ang Unang Aswang" under Skylight Films and Star Cinema released last 2012. I am mighty proud of Ms. Erich Gonzales as she is also currently invading Thailand through her film "Suddenly It's Magic" with Thai superstars Mario Maurer and Baifern. With her shining, powerful, striking, efficient and impressive portrayals, she is indeed a movie actress that deserves more notable projects to come.
