Craving for authentic chinese food experience? Of course! Manila's Chinatown: BINONDO is "THE PLACE".
As history curves its way to the present, Filipinos adopted the Chinese culture as they were a great part of our own culture's development. But one thing that we Filipinos LOVE is absolutely the Chinese cuisine.
On a recent team bonding with my co-workers, we had this weird adventure trip to Binondo for the greatest Chinese Food experience... after public transportation and long walks...you know what? WE SUCCEEDED!
After asking some Binondo peeps about directions to refrain from getting lost, we found MASUKI a Chinese Restaurant since 1930. Getting back to our history topic, this Mami house was the living legend of the famed Ma Mon Luk Chinese noodles.
As the menu was handed over to our group, I actually felt the hunger that I was ignoring the whole morning! Just in time to dive in to my Chinoy pick of food.
Since it was my first time in MASUKI, I actually want to try EVERYTHING, but of course, my tummy might burst... so I browsed the menu and ordered the one that seems beyond delicious, though I want to apologize, due to hunger, I don't even remember what were my exact orders! Or is it the effect of the food being too yummy that I forgot their names? Haha!
Try their MAMIs, order SIOPAOs and taste their SIOMAIs and you will be OVERSATISFIED.
And just to give you a tip, add their siopao sauce to the noodles..and you will have this close encounter to heaven...
Look how I'm too happy indulging to the noodles with chop sticks to complete the Chinoy feel.
