New Source of Happiness: ALDUB

Well, as you may all know, they are the latest sensational, extraordinary and unparalleled love team in Philippine Showbiz. Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub gained massive attention from the avid viewers of the longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. It was a little over a month ago when the two "accidentally" exposed an overflowing chemistry on live TV. It was something that was unexpected, yet it was very special and full of potential... There you go, ALDUB was born. Since then, their loveteam's popularity skyrocketed. Wala nang makakapigil sa ALDUB. They simply dubsmashed their way to the hearts of  the viewers across the world.

I am aware of the fact that the ALDUB fever is on widespread. I mean, c'mon, they are literally EVERYWHERE... on TV, newspapers, magazines, websites, and they are dominating all social media platforms. Everyone is hooked with their Kalyeserye. Everyone is anticipating for the tamang panahon when Alden and Maine will finally meet-up and see each other face to face. But let me make it clear that I am not writing a blog entry just to ride on the ALDUB craze. I am blogging now as a proud fan. YES. I AM AN ALDUB FAN.

Being a fan is not a new thing for me, I have had my fair share of fangirl-ing moments before to a very special person I consider as my idol and my mentor in life since then until now. However fangirl-ing shifted to being a showbiz blogger. My short stint in showbiz blogging "somehow" ended when I flew to live and work here in Dubai, UAE. Never have I imagined that I will go back to my old self of being a fan. But when ALDUB came, hindi ko na natiis, hindi ko na napigilan. ALDUB is my new source of happiness. Sobrang saya sa puso. ALDUB gives me an overflowing feeling of kilig that I can't even contain. And my love for both Alden and Maine only intensifies as days goes by. I remember it was ALDUB's 2nd weeksary when we decided to put up their fansclub: ALDUB Middle East for supporters from this part of the world.

Allow me to get into details. Let's put the spotlight first to the Dubsmash Queen herself, Maine Mendoza. I love her. I really do. She is HILARIOUS. From the very beginning I have watched most of her dubsmash videos scattered all over the internet. Maine is fresh, funny and fascinating. Her comedic wit was exceptional. When I saw her on Eat Bulaga for the very first time I said to myself: "bagay na bagay sya sa TV." She's perfect to be a Dabarkads.

Another thing admirable with Maine is her total personality. I would dare to compare her with Ms. Anne Curtis, you see... Maine is from the "sosyal" class, she's intelligent, she's also from a rich and beautiful family. Yet, she has maintained her "masa" appeal because of Yaya Dub, she's funny, simple and walang arte. People from different walks of life and from all ages adores both sides of her. She was our modern day Cinderella and her life (on and off cam) was our fairytale. MAINEnamahal kita Yaya Dub! Salamat sa araw-araw na saya na iyong dala!

The other half of ALDUB is not new to me. Alden Richards is one of the few celebrities closest to my heart. I have been seeing Alden often around GMA before, but it was with his 2012 TV series One True Love that I began to notice him. His role as Tisoy was so memorable to me. To be honest, I am not an avid viewer of OTL back then, but there was this one dramatic scene where Alden made me cry. And from then on, I admired Alden's talent. He's obviously good looking, and I know that the dimple is so irresistible. For me, he is one of Kapuso's ace celebrities, but let's all admit that Alden only has a stable but not so outstanding star status in the entirety of showbiz back then. But now, he is the one of the HOTTEST and MOST IN DEMAND star! Just WOW! I am still in awe every time I see the crowd going wild over him on Eat Bulaga! He is, indeed, the ULTIMATE BAE! Eat Bulaga and the ALDUB Kalyeserye craze should take credit in pushing Alden's name to the top, side by side or even surpassing some of the young leading men in Showbiz nowadays and it all happened so fast!

Adding to being a fan of his acting talent, I am proud to say that Alden has evolved to a total package. He can dance, he can sing, he is good in hosting and now, he is superb in comedy as well. Alden Richards is more than just a man with a pretty face. He is a man of substance and a man of depth. He is one of the sweetest and most humble celebrity I ever encounter. I am proud to be supporting him both as a blogger and as a fan. MaALDEN kita TISOY, noon at lalo na ngayon.

ALDUB is now a part of my daily routine. After a long day at work, ALDUB is my stress reliever. Watching Kalyeserye replays at night can take all the worries and problems away. In every episode, you will laugh... cry...  laugh again... cry again... and laugh even harder! Ugh! Every episode is so unpredictable, breath-taking and heart-stopping. Every episode is a must-watch! ALDUB is life changing, seriously! And I know that many will agree on how ALDUB seems so perfect for each other. A true match MaiDen heaven! Destiny brought them together. And if ever a time comes when reel becomes real I will be one of the happiest.

So, to Alden and Maine, if ever you are reading this, I want to say THANK YOU for the happiness that you are imparting in my life. I promise to support you both as a team and as individuals. I know that we're just starting on this journey, and I (along with your massive supporters across the globe) got your back. ALDUB YOU BOTH! 

P.S. If ever Alden and Maine is actually READING this, I will seriously faint! Hahaha!
