Last January 30, 2014 an event at the Araneta Center was held for a campaign for good deed, dubbed as #RebuildPH. The campaign aims to do a volunteer round-up and donation drive for our fellow Filipinos to be reminded that "helping never stops" after the climax of the disaster. No help is too big or small, everyone should take part in giving and sharing to help in rebuilding our country to be back on track...
"Yolanda came last November but everyone still remembers it so vividly. Picking up from one of the worst natural disasters in history, it's going to take a lot of effort from both individuals and big businesses. While our partners have done much already, we're positive that out teaming together can make a bigger difference," adds Dick Gordon, Chairman of Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
At present, there are seven priority sectors identified by the government: Samar, Leyte, Cebu, Negros, Capiz, Aklan and Palawan that need both humanitarian and resettlement aid. "Habitat For Humanity is targeting to build 30,000 core houses and distribute 30,000 shelter repair kits for Yolanda victims. We want to achieve this in the next three years but it would take an estimated 6 Billion Php for the construction of the core houses alone. We thank Coca-Cola Philippines for taking this endeavor with us, because we certainly won't be able to do it alone," says Charlie Ayco, CEO and Managing Director of Habitat For Humanity.
Now, let us all take part is this wonderful campaign, RebuildPH through this website: www.cokeurl.com/rebuildph - an online donation and volunteer portal. Please do share it to everyone.. spread the word that EVERY ACT MATTERS, DONATE AND VOLUNTEER TODAY!
