Norah Jones:
Known for her “Jazz-Pop” sound and her awesome and unique voice, there is no doubt of Norah Jones’ success and contributions to the music industry. Coming out way back 2002 with a blast on her first release of the Grammy Award winning Come Away With Me which sold 25 million copies worldwide; followed by Feels Like Home (2004), Not Too Late (2007), and The Fall (2009) –as well as two albums with her country collective The Little Willies. She even showed her versatility in a 2010 compilation of all her collaborations with diverse artists entitled …Featuring Norah Jones. To be honest, I am personally in love with her massive hit song Don’t Know Why from the very first time I heard it!

On Little Broken Hearts:
A 12-track record of “darkly luminous songs” as described, Norah Jones shares the various perspectives of a wounded lover. This album is melancholic, sad and dangerous in a good way. She speaks the words of being broken through the songs, all the lyrics tie in so well, making it seemed like the album was narrating one of the greatest heartbreaking story ever told.
The Track List:
1. GOOD MORNING
2. SAY GOODBYE
3. LITTLE BROKEN HEARTS
4. SHE’S 22
5. TAKE IT BACK
6. AFTER THE FALL
7. 4 BROKEN HEARTS
8. TRAVELIN’ ON
9. OUT ON THE ROAD
10. HAPPY PILLS
11. MIRIAM
12. ALL A DREAM
The music and melody has the Danger Mouse signature all over it, being catchy and playful which surprisingly works with the lyrics. Good Morning as the jumpstart track really got me with its melody. It plays in my head; it stays and makes a mark. That goes on for the rest of the tracks, if you will pay attention on the music itself, you will be surprised once in a while by the various tiny elements you will hear that added up spices on the tracks!
Happy Pills was released as the 1st single off from the album… This song is truly a wow! Once you hear it, I swear it will be your LSS! This was the lightest song in the album with a catchy tune and not-so-dark lyrics; for me it is the best pick for the carrier track. But I must say that the song's official music video still proves that this track is still a part of the album, with its “murder theme”. Dark and scary but amazing at the same time! The song will keep you singing with it! Go check it out!

My personal favorite track is MIRIAM, because it is the most thrilling song in the album for me. The song is about Jones, using a calm voice, delivering a threat to the “other woman” of her ex-lover. It is soothing and deadly as a warning. This is a personal favorite because there are only a few brave ones who can make a song that tackles something about hatred, killing, and infidelity all at once; Norah Jones and Danger Mouse made one hell of a great song called MIRIAM. Kudos!
Little Broken Hearts is definitely a great deal! The album is an emotional whirlwind; you will have it on loop! AVAILABLE NOW ON ODYSSEY, ASTROPLUS AND ALL LEADING RECORDBARS NATIONWIDE! Grab your copies. :)
